Foraging workshop: spring greens and flowers

Learn how to forage wild leaves and flowers

Come and explore the magic of wild spring greens and flowers on a foraging workshop at Higher Culloden Farm, Camelford, with Nourish Kernow CIC on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

You will learn how to safely and sensitively identify, gather and prepare an array of plants to make delicious wild salads, wild teas and other ways to bring this wild nourishment into your life. An opportunity to slow down and spend time with nature.

We will touch, smell, taste and see our way through the wild landscape – discovering wild tasters and foraging our own wild salad and teas which we will eat after our walk by the campfire (but if you want a substantial meal, please bring a packed lunch).

You will go away with new knowledge and enthusiasm to continue on with your own wild food journey.

Hosted by Rebecca from Tending the Wild Inside who is an experienced forager and member of the Association of Foragers. Rebecca is also a qualified walking leader and nurse and has been running foraging workshops and nature walks in North Cornwall and Dartmoor for the last 3 years. In 2025 she took part in the Wildbiome Project where she ate a 100% wild foraged diet for a whole month as part of a scientific study with 100 others to research the effects of wild food on our gut microbiome and other health markers. She is currently preparing to do it again this year for another month, this time in autumn.

We have accessible toilet facilities and a car park available. However, the walk will include some steep, grassy hills, with other obstacles to overcome and a lot of standing. Wear stout footwear and clothing suitable for the weather.

Tea and coffee will be available for the duration.
